There are several post pregnancy belts or wraps in the market place but they only concentrate on the abdomen. The ShrinxHips™ Belt is designed exclusively for your hips.  Shrinkx provides multiple levels of compression and helps permanently return your hips to their pre-pregnancy state, or even smaller for some Shrinkx users.  With Shrinkx you are working to make a permanent change in the size of your hips – your pelvic frame - not just camouflaging your post pregnancy body.

How do I wear the ShrinxHips™ Belt?  Do I wear it under or over my clothes?
The ShrinxHips™ Belt has been designed to wear under your clothes so you can conveniently wear the belt all day.  However, the belt is just as effective if worn on the outside of your clothing so do whatever is most comfortable and convenient for you.

How long should I wear the ShrinxHips™ Belt each day?
To maximize results you should wear the ShrinxHips™ Belt as many hours during the day as possible The more you wear it, the better it can work for you and here is why.  As a new mother you spend a great deal of your day feeding and holding your newborn.  Whether it is nursing or bottle-feeding, you are sitting every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to feed and cuddle your new baby.  While you are sitting, the pressure of your body weight is put directly on your pelvis, which allows it to spread.  Likewise, any weight, whether standing or sitting, can cause loose joints to spread wider. If you are wearing the ShrinxHips™ Belt, your pelvis/hips are stabilized and are not continuing to spread with pressure and movement. Wearing the belt at night is optional.

When can I wear the ShrinxHips™ belt and when shouldn’t I wear the belt?
The ShrinxHips™ belt was designed to be worn AFTER delivery, and must not be worn while you are still pregnant.  Once you have given birth, you can start wearing ShrinxHips™ as soon as you can wear the belt comfortably.  Remember, the pregnancy hormone Relaxin stays in your system 6-8 weeks after delivery, so listen to your body and consult your physician if you have any questions.

Is there any benefit in wearing the ShrinxHips™ belt after pregnancy other than reducing the size of your hips?
Absolutely! The ShrinxHips™ belt provides added stability to the loose pelvic joints and ligaments helping to prevent injury, fatigue or stress, allowing your body to recover more comfortably after delivery. Our orthopedic consultants have indicated that it will help some moms return to their fitness and sports regimens more quickly.

If I delivered two weeks ago, is it even worth it to try and use the ShrinxHips™ belt?
Yes. The pregnancy hormone Relaxin is still in your system so you still have several weeks to reap the benefits of the ShrinxHips™ belt.

What is the proper placement of the ShrinxHips™ belt on my hips?
The Shrinkx belt should be worn well below the naval and at least two inches below your hip bones. Make sure that the belt is cinched tightly on your hips and placed straight across your buttocks. The bottom of the belt usually sits at the bottom of your buttocks.

If I’ve already had one child, will Shrinkx still work for me?
Yes, the hormone Relaxin is released with each new pregnancy giving you the an opportunity to reduce the size of your hips each time you give birth.
